Rytec Spiral HZ Steel Door

Rytec Spiral HZ Steel Door: The Only High-Speed Door to Withstand a Hurricane

The Spiral Hurricane Zone (HZ) door is the first and only high-speed, high-performance door with certified compliance from Miami-Dade County and the Florida Building Codes. Notice of Acceptance (NOA) from Miami-Dade County.

The Spiral HZ door is designed to comply with the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of The Florida Building Code and certified to withstand winds in excess of 149 miles per hour. Extensive testing was conducted in a state-of-the-art laboratory to ensure optimal performance in a hurricane and extreme weather conditions. These tests include negative pressure, positive pressure, large and small missile impact testing.

With an opening speed of up to 60 inches per second, the Spiral HZ is fast. Rigid, aluminum slats with reinforced hinges combined with the galvanized steel side columns offer security and the strength to handle a hurricane.

Crisp lines give the Spiral SST-HZ door a stylish, high-tech look. Because its anodized aluminum will not corrode, you can count on that look to last for many years under even the worst weather conditions.
